How we can help

The primary goal of occupational therapy is to enable people to participate in the occupations of everyday life.

How can Occupational Therapy help?

Occupational Therapists assist people to manage ongoing symptoms and prevent complications by:

  • Building their knowledge and skills
  • Finding new ways of doing activities
  • Changing the environment to suit their needs

At Hoys our Occupational Therapists are experienced in working with adults and adolescents and cover areas such as: the NDIS, Home Modifications, Wheelchair Assessments, Assistive Technology, School Based Assessments and Workplace & Equipment Modifications.

Hoys Allied Health + Wellness offers these Occupational Therapy services under the NDIS:

  • Functional Assessments/Assessments of Daily Living
  • Assistive Technology Assessments
  • Wheelchair Assessments
  • Home Modification Assessments
  • Determination of needs related to Supported Independent Living (SIL)
  • Sensory Profile Measure

Our Occupational Therapy team at Hoys Allied Health + Wellness can complete home based client assessments and produce comprehensive reports for applicants applying to become a participant on the NDIS scheme.

These comprehensive reports will help identify support needs necessary to make progress on goals and aspirations and prepare applicants to meet the access requirements required by the NDIA.

The NDIS officers are often looking to Occupational Therapists to provide the accurate information required in order to be considered for acceptance on the scheme, or information to assist within recommendation of services for the next plan period.

For more information on how we can assist with your NDIS needs - please get in touch.
