Workcover Injury Rehabilitation
Exercise Physiology offers a seamless progression from Physiotherapy treatment (Passive Care / Hands On) to Activity based / functional exercises for Work Cover patients, this allows upgrades in WCCC and Return to suitable & Pre-Injury Duties.
Hoys currently achieves upgrades in WCCC within 90% of the injured Clients that attend our functional upgrade (Exercise Physiology) programs. Hoys will also link our AHRR Plans with return to work plans to ensure that the functional outcomes are work and functionally related. Our WorkCover approved Exercise Physiologists treat work related injuries and motor vehicle accidents by providing active exercise therapy to enhance your recovery time and capacity to return to work.
We encourage injured workers to take an active role in their rehabilitation program by providing all the education and tools necessary to achieve self-management of injury and activities.

Physiotherapist
Rob is a Coffs Coast local and has many years of experience after graduating with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Physiotherapy in 1989 from Cumberland College of Health Sciences (The University of Sydney).
Rob has extensive experience which includes working in the public and private sectors, working in England, managing an Allied Health practice at Baringa private Hospital and owning and operating Hoys Allied Health and Wellness since 2006 with Business partner and cousin Matt Hoy.
Rob’s areas of interest are varied and diverse and include musculoskeletal injuries, back and neck pain, workplace injury management and prevention, chronic injury management and sporting injuries and sports coverage.
Post-graduate education during his career includes assessment, treatment and management of musculoskeletal, workplace, sports, spinal, nuerological, core stability, chronic and arthritic conditions and other areas of interest such as hydrotherapy, splinting and casting, and orthotic assessment prescription. In addition he has achieved certification in business management and marketing and development to assist with management of a diverse and growing business.
Through Rob’s involvement with Australian and NSW Touch football and Canberra Grammar School, he has travelled to South Africa, Scotland, Canada and New Zealand and all over Australia to help assist elite athletes perform at their best. Just as rewarding has been helping the local community be able to participate in their sporting and leisure activities that they love.
Rob is committed to improving the health of those who live on the Coffs Coast and helping them return to work, sport, leisure and fun. He has actively been in involved in coaching and committees for sporting clubs such as such as Sawtell Surf Life Saving , Coffs Harbour Rugby Union, Coffs Harbour Basketball and Sawtell Football and through the business Hoys support numerous sporting and recreational clubs and activities including the annual Hoys Charity Golf Day,
He enjoys an active lifestyle with his family and friends and participates in Oztag, Mountain biking, gym, golf and water sports and activities.
What is your proudest accomplishment? Raising two beautiful daughters with my wife Kerri.
